The National Cherry Blossom Festival will be held March 20 thru April 12, 2015.  The festival celebrates spring in Washington, DC, the gift of the cherry blossom trees, and the enduring friendship between the people of the United States and Japan. The Festival produces and coordinates daily events featuring diverse and creative programming promoting traditional and contemporary arts and culture, natural beauty, and community spirit.  Easter Egg Hunt at Truro Anglican Church (10520 Main Street, Fairfax) Sunday, March 29 at 1pm. Join us at Truro to hunt for over 1,500 candy stuffed Easter Eggs hidden all over our beautiful campus. Come to the family friendly Palm Sunday Service and stay for the Easter Egg Hunt. Or just come for the Hunt! Bring your family, friends and neighbors.

 Easter Activities at Fairfax County Parks! On Saturday, March 21, 2015 come to Frying Pan Farm Park for the Easter Eggstravaganza where children ages one to six can hunt for eggs full of treats and prizes.  The hunts begin at 10 a.m.  Weather decisions will be made by 8 a.m. and a rain date is scheduled for March 22. The cost is $6 per child.  Call 703-437-2771 for more information. Frying Pan Farm Park is located at 2739 West Ox Road in Herndon.

Saturday, March 28 features two Easter egg hunts.  Come to Clemyjontri Park for an Easter egg hunt, crafts, photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny and other activities as well.  The fun runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Hunts are divided by age and run every 30 minutes.  Pre-registration is required.  Carousel rides will also be available for $1.75 per ride.  The cost is $6 per child. The rain date is March 29.  For more information and to register please call 703-388-2807. Clemyjontri Park is located at 6317 Georgetown Pike in McLean, VA.

Saturday also brings fun to Historic Sully where children age two to seven can hunt for Easter eggs starting at noon.  Join the egg roll, visit baby animals, see the Easter Bunny and make a craft.  Bring your own basket.  The cost is $6 per child.  Rain date is March 29.  For information please call 703-437-1794.  Sully is located at 3650 Historic Sully Way in Chantilly.

Lake Fairfax Park will also host an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, March 29.  Children one to seven years old can hunt for eggs filled with treats and treasures starting at 11 a.m.  Pre-paid reservations are required.  The cost is $6 per child.  For more information and for reservations call 703-471-5414. Fairfax Civil War Day is going to be held on April 25, 2015 10am to 5pm at Historic Blenheim Estate, 3610 Old Lee Highway, Fairfax, VA 22030. This event features living history, house tours, period music, wagon rides, firing demos, talks and more!
